Hey everyone! Welcome to my blog! My name is Amanda Petrie, and I am mom to a 13 year old daughter named Hannah. Hannah was diagnosed with Autism at age 2, and we are trying to get her an evaluation for ADHD. We have homeschooled off and on since 1st grade. She has a lot of learning challenges because of the Autism and ADHD that we are learning to work with.
Some areas of interest for me are researching my family tree, crochet, and reading. I’ve been researching my family tree since I was 18, so 26 years! I’ve recently started researching my husband’s line to create a tree for my daughter. My favorite famous ancestor is Jane Austen- my daughter is actually named after her. Crochet I’ve taught myself through YouTube and Pinterest. I love music, singing, and dancing!
I am starting this blog to help others. I realize our life is pretty unique, and maybe I can help someone that is going through something similar for the first time. So if you are just starting the journey into a possible Autism/ADHD diagnosis, I hope you find something you can use here!
